Le plus white-hat des black-hat a accepté de répondre à mes questions. Ce boulimique de travail a réussi à trouver un petit moment à m’accorder dans son emploi du temps pourtant bien rempli.

Entre la gestion de sa plateforme de rédaction Bulldoz, son activité autour du concours NextLevelLink dont il est le commentateur officiel, et ses nombreuses prestations, voilà ses réponses au sujet de son activité et de ses objectifs.

  • Salut François. Je suis très content de pouvoir enfin t’interviewer. Depuis la fin de l’été je surveille pas mal ton projet « Bulldoz », dédié à la mise en relation entre clients et rédacteurs. Est-ce que tu peux nous parler un peu de cette initiative ?

Bulldoz est une plateforme de mise en relation entre des rédacteurs et leurs clients qui est composé de deux parties :

  • Un annuaire qui permet aux rédacteurs de se présenter et de décrire leurs prestations. Ils peuvent également afficher leurs coordonnées, ce qui permet aux clients de les contacter directement et sans intermédiaire.
  • Une interface qui permet aux clients qui le désirent de passer des commandes et aux rédacteurs de leur livrer les textes. Bulldoz se charge de calculer les montants à payer et permet de facturer facilement.

La grosse particularité de Bulldoz, c’est qu’il n’y a pas de commission et que les utilisateurs ne sont pas obligés de passer par la plateforme. La liberté y est totale entre la plateforme, les rédacteurs et les clients. Ce principe est un point fondamental pour moi (voir ici).

Une autre particularité de Bulldoz, c’est que les rédacteurs sont totalement libres de choisir et d’afficher leurs propres tarifs. Il aussi est possible de négocier un tarif différent pour chaque client.
Je compte rentabiliser ce projet en proposant des services annexes, facultatifs et payants, comme par exemple la vérification du plagiat, la prise en charge des paiements, la mise à disposition d’une API…

  • Qu’est ce qui t’a motivé à la mettre en marche ?

Vu que je suis consultant en référencement, j’ai besoin de commander beaucoup de textes à plusieurs rédacteurs différents. J’aime travailler en direct avec les prestataires, cela permet d’apprendre à les connaître, d’avoir confiance et de progresser ensemble. Nous sommes des humains, pas des numéros, nous avons besoin de nous connaître pour bien travailler.

Vu que je suis développeur de formation, j’ai rapidement créé des interfaces web de plus en plus sophistiquées pour gérer facilement des centaines de commandes auprès des rédacteurs, ainsi que leur paiement.

Au début de l’année dernière, j’avais commencé à proposer une prestation de rédaction à certains de mes clients. Le principe était similaire à celui des plateformes de rédaction classiques :

  • Les clients me passaient des commandes via une interface web.
  • Je les transmettais à des rédacteurs que j’avais sélectionné pour leur qualité.
  • Une fois les textes livrés, je n’avais plus qu’à les transmettre aux clients.
  • Le tout fonctionnait très bien et l’ensemble ne nécessitait que quelques clics !

J’étais très content de la performance technique et de la rentabilité. Les clients et les rédacteurs étaient également satisfaits, tout roulait bien. Cependant, je n’étais pas à l’aise avec le fond du système : j’avais le sentiment de profiter du travail des rédacteurs…

Au bout de quelques mois, j’ai finalement décidé d’ouvrir mon interface à tous les rédacteurs et à tous les clients, sans commission. Bulldoz était né.

Bulldoz est aussi une façon d’aider les entrepreneurs. Je crois vraiment qu’ils peuvent améliorer le monde vu qu’ils tentent de vendre le meilleur service possible, tout en essayant de réduire les coûts.

L’objectif de Bulldoz est donc d’aider un maximum d’entrepreneurs à développer leur entreprise. Le slogan du site « Tous entrepreneurs » est une invitation pour que chacun se lance dans entrepreneuriat !

  • Concrètement, aujourd’hui, est ce que la plateforme tourne bien et quel avenir entends-tu lui donner ?

Après 6 mois de travail intensif sur Bulldoz, la plateforme tourne déjà en autonomie : il y a tous les jours des inscriptions de rédacteurs, des clients les contactent et passent des commandes. Donc ça fonctionne très bien 😉

J’ai encore beaucoup de nouvelles idées de développement. Les membres me font également des propositions d’améliorations, ce sont souvent les plus pertinentes.

Des nouveautés sont donc en cours de préparation et je compte bien vous surprendre au cours de l’année 2019 !

  • J’ai pu remarquer aussi ton dernier site « Lien qui tue ». Tu es connu dans le milieu SEO pour ta maîtrise des PBN et pour la vente d’articles sponsorisés. Là, tu te lances dans la location de liens. Qu’est ce qui t’a motivé à ne pas te cantonner à de la simple vente ?

Pour pouvoir continuer à développer Bulldoz sereinement, j’ai besoin d’une source de revenus récurrente et stable. La location de liens en page d’accueil répond parfaitement à ce besoin. J’ai donc commencé à proposer cette nouvelle prestation au début de l’année.

Evidemment, il ne suffit pas de proposer une prestation pour que les gens s’y intéressent et commencent à passer des commandes : il faut la promouvoir ! Le concours organisé par l’équipe de NextLevel quelques semaines après le lancement de mon produit m’a offert l’occasion d’en faire la publicité.

Je me suis donc inscris au concours, non seulement pour participer mais aussi pour commenter l’actualité quotidiennement via mon blog Lien Qui Tue. Chaque jour entre 100 et 250 personnes visitent mon site, ce sont presque tous des SEO car le site n’est pas compréhensible pour les non-initiés.

Ce site est une merveilleuse vitrine pour mes location de liens en page d’accueil car j’en parle régulièrement au fil des jours.

  • Tu es très actif autour du concours NL LinK. Tu es un peu devenu le commentateur de ce concours. Je sais que toi aussi tu t’es lancé dans la course. Est-ce que tu peux nous en dire un peu plus ?

J’ai commencé à m’intéresser aux commentaires sportifs en découvrant les vidéos de « Pomf et Thud » sur des matchs de Starcraft 2. C’était à la fois amusant et instructif, j’avais envie de faire la même chose dans mon domaine. L’occasion s’est présentée une première fois en 2014 lors du concours « trafic organique » que j’avais commenté (et gagné 😉 ). J’avais eu d’excellents retours de la part des visiteurs et ça m’a donné envie de recommencer, sans jamais en avoir le temps.

Mais depuis, j’ai beaucoup travaillé sur la productivité et la rentabilité de mon activité. Ceci m’a permis de libérer énormément de temps, notamment pour développer Bulldoz et commenter à nouveau un concours SEO.

  • Il faut croire que le soleil de l’Espagne te réussit pas mal aux vues de ton hyperactivité ces derniers temps ! Est-ce que tu as encore des projets en gestation ?

Je compte surtout continuer le développement de Bulldoz pour l’améliorer et le promouvoir 🙂
Une fois que le concours sera terminé, je poursuivrai probablement mon blog « Lien Qui Tue » mais plutôt avec un format hebdomadaire.

On a pas mal de projets personnels qui vont démarrer, mais ça c’est une autre histoire 😉
